Angela Robles

University of Notre Dame

Angela graduated from the University of Notre Dame (‘99), and majored in Sociology. She was a pitcher on the Fighting Irish Softball team, and also pitched for the Orange County Batbusters and Southern California Diamonds. After her team won Nationals in 1997, Angela was named MVP of the tournament and First Team All-American. Angela has traveled and competed internationally on softball missions teams with the purpose of sharing her faith in Jesus Christ.

A Word from Angela:

I was born and raised in a Christian family. My parents introduced me to Jesus at a very young age. I can't quite place a time or date as to when I accepted the Lord in my life, but it was when I was very young that I made this important decision to accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life.

This decision has influenced me very much. Jesus is not someone who I simply believe exists; He is my best friend. Throughout my life, my relationship with Jesus Christ has become stronger. Each day I need to spend time in prayer and in reading my Bible in order to grow in this relationship with Him. The most incredible thing about being a Christian and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the joy we have in being certain of our salvation. God promises us that by believing in Him and accepting His forgiveness, we can spend eternity with Him in heaven. It is a gift and the most important part of my life. If I look back at the difficult times in my life, I realize that God was with me all the way. Jesus is the reason I have life today, and the reason I can have joy everyday.

Favorite verse: "I can do everything through Jesus Christ who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13).
